Photoelectric Smoke Detector
Model: D1CPS
The photoelectric smoke detector operates by detecting light scattered by smoke particles.
When smoke particles generated by a fire enter the detector’s optical chamber through convection, infrared light emitted inside the chamber is scattered by the particles. The scattered light is then detected by the photodetector and converted into an electrical signal.
When the electrical signal exceeds the preset threshold, the detector recognizes a fire condition, transmits a fire alarm signal to the fire alarm control panel, and illuminates the detector’s fire indicator.
The built-in CPU Sleep function increases the number of detectors that can be connected per control panel circuit from 20 to 40.
