This detector incorporates a high-sensitivity thermistor and activates the connected fire alarm control panel when a rapid change in ambient temperature is detected and identified as a fire condition. By determining a fire alarm condition based on the rate of temperature change detected by the thermistor, the detector helps reduce false alarms. In addition, the built-in CPU Sleep function increases the number of detectors that can be connected per control panel circuit from 40 to 60. Its waterproof design also helps minimize false alarms caused by steam and condensation and enables reliable operation in environments exposed to outdoor air.
