In the event of a fire, pressing the button on the manual call point transmits a fire alarm signal to the R-type control panel through the connected repeater. When the control panel receives the fire alarm signal properly, it sends a response signal back to the manual call point, illuminating its LED indicator. At the same time, the control panel activates the alarm bells installed in the corresponding fire zone to alert occupants of the fire. For a P-type control panel, the fire alarm signal is connected directly to the control panel circuit input and the same operation is performed. In addition, a telephone jack built into the manual call point allows communication with the control panel for on-site emergency coordination.
